My name is Joseph D’Oria. I am a graduate of the School of Architecture and Design at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island and am currently the BIM Director at Morphosis Architects in New York (responsible for offices worldwide. I am reaching out to express my interest in the BIM Director position at Cupertino Electric. I believe that my teaching experience, experience in the field, and skills make me an excellent candidate for employment at Cupertino Electric.

For the last 12+ years my career has been focused on BIM and BIM Management. Most of those years have been spent creating standards, implementing those standards, training staff in a variety of software, and creating new workflows to help the staff manage their designs from one software to another (interpretability). My job is currently split between implementing standards / software training and finding new technologies within the AEC industry. I am extremely passionate not only about maintaining a high level of knowledge of BIM software and Architecture, but also teaching. I currently teach classes at two universities covering various topics on computer applications in professional practice.

As someone who has worked on some extremely creative building designs, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my skill set, BIM, design, and my career aspirations with you in further detail. I can provided a list of projects I have been involved with upon email request. I believe my knowledge of setting standards, creating workflows, use of 3-D programs, in my current role as BIM Director and Professor would make me an ideal candidate for a BIM Director position at Cupertino Electric.
